Short explanation

OpenCATS contains an authenticated SQL injection vulnerability in activity DataGrid date filters prior to version 0.10.0, allowing attackers with valid logins to access sensitive database contents.

Why does it matter?

Authenticated users can access sensitive candidate records, user data, and company information, compromising confidentiality and data integrity.

What should be done?

  • Follow the vendor advisory
  • Apply available updates
  • Review access controls
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

OpenCATS 0.10.0 öncesi sürümlerde activity DataGrid tarih filtreleri SQL istismarına açıktır.

Zafiyetin istismarı için geçerli bir OpenCATS oturumu gereklidir.

Show the technical text from the sources

OpenCATS is an open-source applicant tracking system and recruitment CRM for staffing agencies and hiring teams. Prior to version 0.10.0, activity DataGrid date filtering in `home:CallsDataGrid` and `activity:ActivityDataGrid` uses request-controlled `period`, `startDate` and `endDate` parameters without sufficient validation or escaping. The vulnerable code is in `modules/home/dataGrids.php` and `modules/activity/dataGrids.php`. The `startDate` and `endDate` values are inserted into SQL string comparisons without safe escaping, and `period` can directly influence generated SQL. An authenticated user with access to the affected DataGrid endpoints can alter the intended query to access sensitive database contents, including user account data, candidate records, contact details, company information, job orders and activity history. A valid OpenCATS login is required; unauthenticated exploitation is not established. This issue is fixed in version 0.10.0.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
