Short explanation

A stored XSS vulnerability has been identified in the OrderAdministration portal of VertiGIS WebOrderSystem. Authenticated users can insert malicious JavaScript into the business reference field, which executes when a privileged user opens the order.

Why does it matter?

This security flaw can lead to the compromise of highly privileged user sessions and the execution of unauthorized scripts.

What should be done?

  • Follow vendor advisories
  • Monitor official sources for update status
  • Implement input validation controls
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

VertiGIS WebOrderSystem sürüm 7.0.8.6, OrderAdministration portalında saklı XSS zafiyetinden etkilendiği doğrulanmıştır.

Yama durumu resmî kaynaklarda bilinmiyor olarak değerlendirilmiştir.

Show the technical text from the sources

The "ASMobile" web interface, which is part of the VertiGIS software package "GIS Portal", allows authenticated users to define a business reference. JavaScript code can be inserted into this field. On its own this only affects the user who entered it (self-XSS). However, the business reference is included in the order details when the user places an order through the web interface. The order is later listed in the OrderAdministration portal (AuftragsManager) of VertiGIS WebOrderSystem, where the stored code is executed as soon as a highly privileged user opens the order. Version 7.0.8.6 of WebOrderSystem, the latest available at the time of testing, is affected. The vendor did not provide information about further affected versions.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
