Short explanation
A critical vulnerability exists in the client management component of the Keycloak server due to the failure to clear an internal session attribute during client creation or import [S0]. An authenticated attacker with client management permissions can bypass security controls and execute malicious JavaScript policy on the server [S0].
Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to run arbitrary code on the server and potentially compromise the entire system [S0].
What should be done?
- Follow official vendor advisories [S0]
- Review provided resources for patch status [S0]

Show the technical text from the sources
A flaw was found in the Keycloak server's client management component. When a client is created or imported with authorization services enabled, the system fails to properly clear an internal session attribute used during the setup process. This allows an authenticated attacker with client management permissions to bypass security controls and upload a malicious JavaScript policy, which is then executed on the server when an authorization request is made. Successful exploitation could allow the attacker to run arbitrary code on the server, potentially compromising the entire system.
