Short explanation

Petpooja Munshi contains a broken object level authorization vulnerability that allows authenticated sub-users to delete invoices belonging to the tenant owner due to missing object-level permission checks.

Why does it matter?

This vulnerability allows unauthorized users to execute single or bulk deletion requests using arbitrary invoice identifiers, resulting in unauthorized data loss.

What should be done?

  • Follow vendor advisories
  • Implement object-level ownership checks
  • Strengthen authorization controls
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

Munshi, 2026-07-28 öncesindeki sürümlerde nesne düzeyinde yetkilendirme açığı barındırmaktadır.

DELETE /api/invoice/{invoice_id} ve POST /api/invoices/bulk-delete uç noktaları nesne sahipliğini denetlemez.

Show the technical text from the sources

Munshi (by Petpooja) before 2026-07-28 contained a broken object level authorization vulnerability that allows authenticated sub-users to delete invoices belonging to the tenant owner by exploiting the DELETE /api/invoice/{invoice_id} and POST /api/invoices/bulk-delete endpoints, which only verify tenant membership without enforcing object-level ownership or permission checks. Attackers can invoke single or bulk deletion requests with arbitrary invoice identifiers to delete invoices they do not own, resulting in unauthorized data loss.
