Short explanation

Paperclip versions from 2026.403.0 before 2026.416.0 contain a remote code execution vulnerability that allows agent API key holders to set cleanupCommand and teardownCommand via PATCH /api/execution-workspaces/:id.

Why does it matter?

An authenticated attacker with low privileges can execute arbitrary OS commands within the context of the Paperclip server process, compromising the server host.

What should be done?

  • Update the software to version 2026.416.0 or later
  • Follow vendor advisories
  • Review available patch references
Chain of evidence and sources3 verified claims
