Short explanation

Eclipse ThreadX NetX Duo versions 6.0 through 6.5.2.202603a, built with BSD raw socket and IPv6 support, contain a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability S0. A remote sender can crash the sending thread by exploiting this issue S0.

Why does it matter?

This vulnerability can lead to a denial of service condition on the affected system S0. Its remote vector and high severity make it a critical concern S0.

What should be done?

  • Follow the relevant vendor advisory S0
  • Monitor official announcements as the patch status is currently unknown S0

Show the technical text from the sources

In Eclipse ThreadX NetX Duo versions 6.0 through 6.5.2.202603a, built with BSD raw socket and IPv6 support, the IPv6 raw send path uses the destination-table entry it adds without checking that the add succeeded. When the destination table is full and an off-link destination is reached through a default router whose neighbour cache entry is unknown, sending on an IPv6 raw socket with header inclusion dereferences a NULL pointer; a remote sender can fill the table, for example with ICMPv6 Packet Too Big messages, and crash the sending thread.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
