Short explanation
The path traversal vulnerability identified as CVE-2026-113651 in ApostropheCMS and its uploadfs library allows attacker-controlled paths reaching the local backend to contain parent-directory segments, affecting file operations on the host filesystem. Patch status remains unconfirmed [S0].
It poses a security risk because it allows authenticated attackers to escape the configured upload directory and affect file read, write, and deletion operations on the host filesystem [S0].
What should be done?
- Follow the relevant vendor advisories and updates [S0].
- Update the upload library to secure versions [S0].
Chain of evidence and sources
CVE-2026-113651, uploadfs kütüphanesinde bir dizin geçişi zafiyetidir [S0].

Show the technical text from the sources
ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system, and uploadfs is its file storage library. Prior to uploadfs 1.28.0, attacker-controlled paths that reach the local backend can contain parent-directory segments that escape the configured upload directory and affect file reads, writes, and deletion on the host filesystem. Exploitability depends on an application exposing the relevant uploadfs operations to untrusted path. This issue is fixed in uploadfs 1.28.0.
