Short explanation

CVE-2026-113468 in the TYPO3 Shop by coding.ms extension leads to unauthorized data modification because the PayPal payment notification endpoint does not verify incoming data sources [S0]. Any site visitor can overwrite payment notifications for orders still awaiting payment with arbitrary content [S0].

Why does it matter?

This vulnerability allows the integrity of orders awaiting payment to be compromised without requiring authentication [S0]. Orders that are already paid remain unaffected [S0].

What should be done?

  • Follow the official vendor advisory [S0].
  • Update the affected TYPO3 extension [S1].
Chain of evidence and sources3 verified claims

Show the technical text from the sources

The payment notification endpoint for PayPal accepts incoming data without verifying that it comes from the payment provider. Any site visitor can overwrite the stored payment notification of an order that is still awaiting payment with arbitrary content. This requires a page that contains the shop's order plugin. Orders that are already paid are not affected.
