Short explanation
The event synchronization process in MISP contains a logic error in preparing event reports for remote push, causing restricted tag information to be disclosed to receiving instances (S0). This issue affects MISP instances prior to version 2.5.48 (S0).
This vulnerability can lead to privacy violations and unintended exposure of restricted and non-exportable tag data during synchronization processes to remote servers (S0).
What should be done?
- Follow vendor advisories regarding patch status since patch assessment is unknown (S0)
- Monitor official MISP resources for updates (S0)
Chain of evidence and sources
Etkinlik raporlarının uzaktaki bir sunucuya senkronizasyonu sırasında filtreleme mantığı hatalı uygulanmaktadır (S0).
Son rapor dışındaki tüm raporlar dışa aktarılamayan etiket bilgileriyle birlikte uzak örneğe iletilmektedir (S0).
Bu güvenlik açığı <2.5.48 sürümünden önceki MISP kurulumlarını etkilemektedir (S0).
Show the technical text from the sources
In MISP, the event synchronization process contained a logic error in the preparation of event reports for remote push. The filtering of non-exportable tags was applied only once after the iteration over all reports, rather than to each individual report. As a result: - All reports except the last one in the set were pushed to the remote MISP instance with their non-exportable tags intact, effectively disclosing restricted tag information to the receiving instance. - When the last report in the set was withheld (empty), a null report was pushed, causing the remote instance to fail saving the event. This issue affects any MISP instance configured to push events with multiple reports to a remote server via synchronization. Affected: <2.5.48.
