Short explanation
In donetick versions 0.1.0‑0.1.82, the History Deletion Handler’s CanDeleteHistory function allows unauthorized deletions when the AssignedTo argument is manipulated. The attack can be launched remotely and exploit code is publicly available.
Unauthorized deletion of history entries can erase audit trails and cause inconsistencies in business processes.
What should be done?
- Monitor vendor advisories for released patches
- Apply any forthcoming fixed version promptly
- Restrict History Deletion API to trusted users only
- Add server‑side validation for AssignedTo parameter
- Consider disabling history deletion temporarily

Chain of evidence and sources
CanDeleteHistory işlevi AssignedTo argümanını doğrulamadığı için yetkisiz kullanıcıların tarih silme işlemi yapmasına izin verir.
İstismar kodu kamuya açıklanmış, ancak CISA KEV listesinde aktif istismar kaydı bulunmamaktadır.
Yama durumu resmi kaynaklarda doğrulanamadı; mevcut durumda sabit bir sürüm belirtilmemiştir.
Show the technical text from the sources
A vulnerability was detected in donetick up to 0.1.82. The impacted element is the function CanDeleteHistory of the file internal/chore/model/model.go of the component History Deletion Handler. The manipulation of the argument AssignedTo results in improper authorization. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. The project maintainer explains: "The concerns about "IDOR" framing seem to be overstated in my opinion (...), as Circle members are already trusted collaborators. We will address this issue. However, since the impact is limited to trusted members within the same circle, I would classify this as a bug rather than a security vulnerability."
