Short explanation
Netcore NR256CN through version 1.5.140116 contains a pre-authentication stack overflow vulnerability in the Boa web server's user_ok() function. Unauthenticated attackers can send long usernames to protected routes to crash the main process or potentially execute code.
This critical vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute code or crash the main process over the network. CVSS score differences exist between sources, and the patch status is unknown.
What should be done?
- Follow vendor advisories and updates
- Isolate affected router endpoints from external networks
- Monitor for suspicious Basic-auth requests

Chain of evidence and sources
Netcore NR256CN 1.5.140116 ve önceki sürümler, Boa web sunucusunda yığın taşması zafiyeti içermektedir.
Zafiyet, user_ok() fonksiyonundaki sınırsız strcpy() çağrılarından kaynaklanmaktadır.
Resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamamıştır.
Show the technical text from the sources
Netcore NR256CN through 1.5.140116 contains a pre-authentication stack overflow vulnerability in the Boa web server's user_ok() function, which copies Basic-auth usernames with unbounded strcpy() calls into 64-byte stack buffers. Unauthenticated attackers can send a username longer than 63 bytes to any protected /router/*.cgi route to crash the main Boa process or potentially execute code.
