Short explanation

In Jpom versions 0‑2.11.12, the SshFileController allows an authenticated workspace user to use foreign SSH asset IDs to download, upload, read, update, delete, rename, and create files on SSH hosts belonging to other workspaces. The vulnerability is rated HIGH severity and the patch status could not be verified in official sources.

Why does it matter?

Unauthorized file access can lead to sensitive data leakage and compromise of target SSH servers.

What should be done?

  • Monitor vendor security advisories
  • Apply patch when released
  • Restrict workspace permissions to minimum
  • Review SSH file access controls
  • Monitor access and file operation logs
  • Consider network segmentation where appropriate

Show the technical text from the sources

Jpom through 2.11.12 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability in SshFileController that allows authenticated workspace users to access SSH hosts belonging to other workspaces by supplying foreign SSH asset ids. Attackers with SSH file permissions in any workspace can call download, upload, read_file_data.json, update_file_data.json, delete.json, rename.json and new_file_folder.json endpoints to read, modify and delete files on other workspaces' SSH hosts.
