Short explanation
The Harbor webhook delivery component allows SSRF by failing to properly validate webhook target addresses, permitting the usage of private and link-local IP ranges. An authenticated attacker with ProjectAdmin permissions can configure a webhook policy pointing to a private internal address. S0
This vulnerability allows attackers to potentially expose cloud metadata or other network-restricted resources, presenting a risk of unauthorized access to internal services. S0
What should be done?
- Follow official vendor advisories S0
- Apply updates for affected versions S1
Chain of evidence and sources
Harbor webhook teslimat bileşeni, özel ve link-local IP aralıklarının kullanımına izin vererek SSRF zafiyetine sebep olmaktadır. S0
ProjectAdmin yetkilerine sahip kimlik doğrulanmış bir saldırgan, özel bir dahili adresi hedefleyen bir webhook politikası yapılandırabilir. S0
Show the technical text from the sources
A wide range of Harbor versions allow SSRF via its webhook delivery component which does not properly validate web hook target addresses, allowing usage of private and link-local IP ranges. An authenticated attacker with ProjectAdmin permissions can configure a webhook policy pointing to a private internal address. When a project event fires, Harbor jobservice makes unauthenticated outbound HTTP POST requests to the target. If the target answers with an error status, the response body is written to the webhook execution log, which project members can read, potentially exposing cloud metadata or other network-restricted resources.
