Short explanation

SGLang versions 0.5.10 through 0.5.22 contain a code injection vulnerability in _evaluate_filter() [S0]. Remote unauthenticated attackers can execute Python code by sending a crafted filter expression to the unauthenticated /dumper/configure endpoint when DUMPER_SERVER_PORT is set [S0].

Why does it matter?

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code within the scheduler process, posing high risks to confidentiality, integrity, and availability [S0].

What should be done?

  • Follow vendor advisories and security updates [S0]
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

Show the technical text from the sources

SGLang 0.5.10 through 0.5.22 contains a code injection vulnerability in _evaluate_filter() that allows remote attackers to execute Python code by escaping the eval() sandbox through re.search __globals__. Attackers can send a crafted filter expression to the unauthenticated /dumper/configure endpoint when DUMPER_SERVER_PORT is set, running code in the scheduler process on the next forward pass.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
