Short explanation
Dragonfly through versions 2.0.2 contains an unbounded memory allocation vulnerability due to negative COUNT values. Unauthenticated clients can pass negative numbers to HRANDFIELD, ZRANDMEMBER, or SRANDMEMBER, leading to memory exhaustion and OOM killer triggering.
This vulnerability allows remote unauthenticated attackers to exhaust memory with a single command and terminate instances, disrupting service availability.
What should be done?
- Follow vendor advisories as patch status is currently unknown
- Monitor suspicious command requests
- Apply network access restrictions

Chain of evidence and sources
Dragonfly 2.0.2 ve önceki sürümleri, negatif COUNT parametreleri nedeniyle sınırsız bellek tahsisi zafiyetine açıktır.
Kimlik doğrulaması gerektirmeyen saldırganlar, etkilenen komutları kullanarak OOM killer tetiklenmesine neden olabilir.
Show the technical text from the sources
Dragonfly through 2.0.2 contains an unbounded memory allocation vulnerability that allows unauthenticated clients to exhaust memory by passing a negative COUNT to HRANDFIELD, ZRANDMEMBER or SRANDMEMBER. Attackers can send a single command against a one-element key with a huge negative COUNT to trigger the OOM killer, terminating the instance for all clients.
