Short explanation

An HTTP/1.1 chunked request processing flaw in HAProxy allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause persistent worker-thread CPU exhaustion and a denial of service. S0

Why does it matter?

This security flaw enables attackers to consume all worker threads via repeated requests, causing service disruption until the process is restarted. S0

What should be done?

  • Follow vendor advisories S0
  • Restart processes S0
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

HAProxy içindeki bir HTTP/1.1 parçalı istek kusuru, uzaktaki kimlik doğrulamamış bir saldırganın servis dışı bırakma durumuna neden olmasını sağlar. S0

Etkilenen iş parçacığı, zaman aşımı süreleri dolduktan ve istemci bağlantısı koptuktan sonra bile %100 CPU kullanımında kalmaya devam eder. S0

Show the technical text from the sources

HAProxy 3 before 3.4.6 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service (persistent worker-thread CPU exhaustion) via an HTTP/1.1 chunked request. Although the H1 multiplexer drains the request before closing the stream, the parser repeatedly re-processes the same bytes without making progress. The affected thread stays busy at 100% CPU after timeouts expire and after the client disconnects, and repeated requests can consume all worker threads until the process is restarted.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.

Public exploit and active exploitation status

Verified exploit intelligence

No verified public PoC, exploit repository or Metasploit module has been found for this CVE yet.
