Stored XSS and SSRF Vulnerability in Salon Booking System

Short explanation

Salon Booking System plugin versions prior to 10.31.11 contain a stored XSS and SSRF vulnerability due to missing validation of user-supplied image URLs (S0).

Why does it matter?

It allows privileged users to force the server to read internal resources and execute arbitrary scripts within the site's origin (S0).

What should be done?

  • Follow vendor advisories.
  • Apply updates when available.
Note on uncertainty

The sources give limited detail on some technical conditions. Review the chain of evidence below before deciding how to act.

Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

Salon Booking System 10.31.11 öncesi sürümlerde resim URL'si doğrulanmamaktadır (S0).

Salon Staff ve üzeri roller, dahili kaynakların ifşa edilmesine ve saklı XSS oluşmasına neden olabilir (S0).

Show the technical text from the sources

The Salon Booking System WordPress plugin before 10.31.11 does not validate a user-supplied image URL before fetching it server-side and writing the response to a publicly accessible location under an attacker-chosen filename, allowing users with the Salon Staff role or higher to force the server to read internal-only resources and disclose them, and to store a malicious SVG that runs arbitrary scripts in the site's origin for anyone who opens it.
