Short explanation

CVE-2026-109823 is a filesystem path disclosure vulnerability in the tidewave application caused by a missing Host header check. Attackers can read sensitive data via DNS rebinding, revealing local usernames and project layouts.

Why does it matter?

This vulnerability exposes application configuration paths and local usernames. It can be exploited via DNS rebinding to allow external web pages to read sensitive information.

What should be done?

  • Follow the vendor advisory for updates
  • Review the available patch references
  • Update the tidewave version

CVE-2026-109823, 0.8.0 ile 0.9.2 arasındaki tidewave sürümlerini etkiler.

Show the technical text from the sources

An attacker can read the name of filesystem paths of your application present via Tidewave configuration via /tidewave/connect or via the rendered toolbar. Neither response checks the Host header. A web page that rebinds its own domain to the loopback address can therefore read the tag with a same-origin request, which carries no Origin header. The paths usually reveal the local username and the project layout. This issue affects tidewave: from 0.8.0 before 0.9.2.
