Short explanation
A decompression amplification vulnerability in SGLang through 0.5.21 allows remote attackers to exhaust memory and CPU resources, leading to a denial of service.
This vulnerability enables unauthenticated remote attackers to crash SGLang worker processes and cause service disruptions.
What should be done?
- Follow official vendor advisories
- Restrict audio inputs and uploads
- Apply SGLang updates
Chain of evidence and sources
SGLang 0.5.21 ve öncesi, load_audio içinde decompression amplification zafiyeti barındırır.
Saldırganlar küçük FLAC dosyaları göndererek bellek tükenmesine sebep olabilir.
Show the technical text from the sources
SGLang through 0.5.21 contains a decompression amplification vulnerability in load_audio that allows remote attackers to exhaust memory by submitting highly compressed audio decoded without duration or sample limits. Attackers can supply small FLAC-encoded silence files through audio_url or audio_data inputs that expand into massive PCM buffers, exhausting worker memory and CPU for denial of service.
