Short explanation

BotSharp through 5.2.0 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability due to a hard-coded JWT signing key in the WebStarter appsettings.json file.

Why does it matter?

Unauthenticated remote attackers can forge bearer tokens to impersonate any known user, including administrators, and access authorized API routes.

What should be done?

  • Follow vendor advisory notices
  • Replace the hard-coded JWT signing key with a secure secret
  • Patch status could not be verified in reviewed official sources

BotSharp 5.2.0 ve önceki sürümler, sabit kodlanmış JWT imzalama anahtarı nedeniyle kimlik doğrulama atlatma açığı barındırır.

Saldırganlar, taahhüt edilen HMAC sırrını kullanarak herhangi bir kullanıcıyı taklit etmek için belirteç imzalayabilir.

Show the technical text from the sources

BotSharp through 5.2.0 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to forge bearer tokens using the hard-coded Jwt:Key in WebStarter appsettings.json. Attackers can sign tokens with the committed HMAC secret and fixed botsharp issuer and audience to impersonate any known user, including administrators, on Authorize-protected API routes.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
