Short explanation
The Welcart e-Commerce plugin up to version 2.12.4 is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the wp_usces_order_old cookie through searchSql and searchSkuSql JSON fields. This allows authenticated attackers with editor-level access or higher to extract sensitive information from the database.
Authenticated attackers with privileged access can append additional SQL queries due to insufficient escaping and lack of query preparation, leading to database information disclosure.
What should be done?
- Monitor vendor advisories for patch availability
- Follow vendor recommendations

Show the technical text from the sources
The Welcart e-Commerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via the 'wp_usces_order_old (JSON fields searchSql / searchSkuSql)' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.12.4 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with editor-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
