Short explanation

The GamiPress plugin before version 8.0.6 lacks capability checks or ownership verification on authenticated AJAX actions. This allows authenticated users, including Subscribers, to read arbitrary entries from the activity log.

Why does it matter?

Authenticated users can read sensitive data within the activity log. This compromises user privacy.

What should be done?

  • Follow vendor advisories
  • Update the plugin
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

GamiPress eklentisinin 8.0.6 öncesi sürümleri yetki kontrolü veya sahiplik doğrulaması içermez.

Subscriber rolündeki kullanıcılar etkinlik günlüğündeki hassas kayıtları okuyabilir.

Show the technical text from the sources

The GamiPress WordPress plugin before 8.0.6 does not perform a capability check or ownership verification on one of its authenticated AJAX actions, allowing any authenticated user, such as a Subscriber, to read arbitrary entries from its activity log, including other users' points balances and earned achievements and the usernames of the administrators who performed manual point award and revoke actions.
