Short explanation

Prior to version 6.1.1, the Classified Listing plugin fails to verify requester permissions during gallery requests, allowing subscribers to modify or delete other users' media items (S0).

Why does it matter?

This vulnerability allows low-privileged users with subscriber accounts to manipulate or delete media library files belonging to other users, including administrators (S0).

What should be done?

  • Update the Classified Listing plugin to version 6.1.1 or later (S0).
  • Follow the official vendor advisory for updates (S0).
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

Classified Listing eklentisinin 6.1.1 öncesi sürümleri, galeri AJAX işleyicileri üzerinden unattached media öğeleri işlenirken yetki doğrulaması yapmamaktadır.

Abone düzeyinde kimliği doğrulanmış herhangi bir kullanıcı, yöneticiler dahil diğer kullanıcılara ait medya kütüphanesi eklerini değiştirebilir, bozabilir veya silebilir.

Show the technical text from the sources

The Classified Listing WordPress plugin before 6.1.1 does not verify that the requester owns or can edit the target listing when a gallery request references an unattached media item, allowing any authenticated user with a subscriber-level account to modify, corrupt or delete media-library attachments owned by other users, including administrators.
