Short explanation

The Debloat – Remove Unused CSS, Optimize JS plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal affecting versions up to and including 1.3.0. This makes it possible to read server files that may contain sensitive information.

Why does it matter?

It allows unauthorized attackers to access critical files on the server, potentially leading to confidentiality breaches and further attacks.

What should be done?

  • Follow official vendor advisories
  • Update the plugin or apply alternative mitigations
  • Review Optimize CSS settings
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

Debloat eklentisinin 1.3.0 ve önceki sürümleri Dizin Geçişi zafiyetinden etkilenmektedir.

İstismar için Optimize CSS özelliğinin etkin olması ve varsayılan Inline Google Fonts seçeneğinin aktif bulunması gerekir.

Show the technical text from the sources

The Debloat – Remove Unused CSS, Optimize JS plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.0 via the 's' parameter parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. Exploitation requires that the site administrator has enabled the Optimize CSS feature (with the default Inline Google Fonts option active), but once that condition is met the attack is trivially triggered by an unauthenticated visitor with a single crafted GET request to the public search URL.
