Short explanation
The Post Export Import with Media plugin for WordPress up to version 1.17.1 is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection via the page_data[meta] parameter. This enables authenticated attackers with administrator-level access to inject a PHP Object through untrusted input deserialization.
The vulnerability lacks a built-in POP chain, meaning it poses no direct impact unless another plugin or theme containing a POP chain is installed, which could allow arbitrary file deletion, data retrieval, or code execution.
What should be done?
- Follow vendor advisories and check for updates
- Remove unused plugins and themes
- Audit administrator-level access controls
Chain of evidence and sources
Post Export Import with Media eklentisinin 1.17.1 ve önceki sürümleri PHP Object Injection zafiyeti barındırmaktadır.
Show the technical text from the sources
The Post Export Import with Media plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in all versions up to, and including, 1.17.1 via deserialization of untrusted input . This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to inject a PHP Object. No known POP chain is present in the vulnerable software, which means this vulnerability has no impact unless another plugin or theme containing a POP chain is installed on the site. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it may allow the attacker to perform actions like delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code depending on the POP chain present.
