Short explanation

The RunCGI.pm component in CGM CLININET dynamically imports modules from untrusted query parameters, leading to code injection and remote code execution with root privileges.

Why does it matter?

An attacker located on an adjacent network can supply a crafted query parameter to achieve arbitrary code execution with root privileges, posing a critical security risk.

What should be done?

  • Follow the vendor advisory
  • Monitor vendor notifications for update status
Chain of evidence and sources3 verified claims

CGM CLININET, RunCGI.pm bileşenindeki kod enjeksiyonu zafiyetinden etkilenmektedir.

Saldırganlar bitişik ağ üzerinden root yetkileriyle rastgele kod çalıştırabilmektedir.

CGM CLININET is vulnerable to Code Injection in the RunCGI.pm component, which dynamically imports the module specified as a query parameter and executes code from untrusted data provided by the user. An attacker from adjacent network can supply a crafted query parameter to have an attacker-controlled module imported which results in arbitrary code execution with root privileges. This issue was fixed in version 2026.MS3

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
